Who are we?
The Denhale ARC is run and managed by Disability Sport Yorkshire. DSY is a non-profit organisation founded in 1993. This organisation brought together four existing regional disability sport organisations.
Our main aim was, and still is, to address the inequality in access to sport for disabled people.
DSY took over Denhale ARC in August 2014 following consultation with and the support of a range of partners and stakeholders. From this base DSY can coordinate it’s various offerings such as Active Events.
What do we do?
As mentioned Denhale acts as the home for Disability Sport Yorkshire. However, the centre is used by many different user groups for regular sessions, we have profiles for each of our regular users use the navigation bar to find them.
The centre is also available for one-off special bookings and functions, providing they are reasonable.
Purpose & Objective:
The objects of the company are to carry out activities that benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to the relief of disabled people, in particular (but not so as to limit the generality of the foregoing) through the promotion and development of recreational and sporting facilities and activities for disadvantaged people.
